आलोक रूरल डेवलपमेंट सोसाइटी का मिशन ग्रामीण भारत के सर्वांगीण विकास को गति देना है, ताकि गाँवों में रहने वाले प्रत्येक व्यक्ति को शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य, आजीविका और सामाजिक न्याय के समान अवसर प्राप्त हो सकें। यह संस्था गरीब, वंचित और पिछड़े वर्गों को आत्मनिर्भर बनाने के लिए कौशल विकास, महिला सशक्तिकरण, बाल शिक्षा, स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता और सतत ग्रामीण आजीविका से जुड़े कार्यक्रमों को बढ़ावा देती है।
इस सोसाइटी की दृष्टि (विजन) ऐसे सशक्त, शिक्षित और आत्मनिर्भर ग्रामीण समाज का निर्माण करना है जहाँ हर व्यक्ति सम्मानपूर्वक जीवन जी सके, स्थानीय संसाधनों का सतत उपयोग हो और सामाजिक समानता, पर्यावरण संरक्षण तथा सामुदायिक सहभागिता के माध्यम से एक समृद्ध और उज्ज्वल भविष्य सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
ग्रामीण क्षेत्र में बहुत सारे बच्चों आधे से पढ़ाई छोड़ देते हैं। ज्यादातर बच्चे फाइनेंसियल ,स्वास्थ्यगत कारन से पढाई नहीं कर पाते हैं । पढाई नहीं करने के कारण उन्हें सोसाइटी में औदा नहीं दिया जाता है । जो लोग पढ़े,लिखे होते हैं कहीं पर सरकारी या बेसरकारी नौकरी कर के अपना गुजारा अच्छी तरह से चला लेते हैं,लेकिन जो अनपढ़ हैं उन्हें न कोई जॉब मिलता है न कोई बिज़नेस कर पाते हैं । बहुत सारे राज्य में सरकार की और से,जो सुबिधायें उपलब्ध होते वो पढाई करने वालों के लिए होता है ।अनपढ़,अर्धशिखित लोगों को कोई सुबिधा नहीं मिलने के कारण वो लोग मेहेनत मजदूरी का काम करते हैं । उन लोगों में भी बहुत सारे Talented और काबिल होते हैं,लेकिन सोसाइटी उनके काबिलियत को समझ नहीं पाता है या Underestimate कर देता है। जिसके लिए उनका सामाजिक और आर्थिक बढ़ोतरी नहीं हो पा रहा है।

The groundwork for a better life lies in education. It is the most powerful catalyst for social transformation. However, a child cannot be educated in isolation. Only an empowered family, especially the mother, would be willing to educate their child. Thus, rather than focusing on only one stage of a person’s life, we believe in the lifecycle approach.
